Reflections and Christmas Greetings from the Parksafe team as we end the year . . .
Posted on 15/12/2021As we draw to the end of the year, it’s a great time to reflect on the year we’ve had at Parksafe. Having started the year in the midst of a continued pandemic, much like we end the year sadly, we’ve been able to stay focused on our purpose and overcome the challenges that have affected so many organisations this year. From hikes in container prices, increased difficulty and delay in obtaining components, the blocking of the Suez Canal in March and of course, not forgetting the global driver shortage.
In fact, it’s been a really positive year for the Parksafe team. Back in April we became the Parksafe Group bringing all of our different trading divisions (Parksafe Automotive, B2B Online Shop, Parksafe On Demand, Parksafe Direct) under the one brand, which was very exciting to think about how far we’ve come since we began trading over 30 years ago.
As a group we have continued to innovate and invest and our Parksafe On Demand Fleet management platform is a fantastic example of this. Providing instant, on demand access to an entire fleet of vehicles 24/7, the On Demand web portal provides users with LIVE crystal clear HD footage and remote video downloads allowing tracking of vehicle locations. The platform provides UK technical support backed up by a nationwide, network of professional engineers and from just 0.65p per day, other benefits include:

- Bespoke On Demand dashboard
- Quick & easy fleet reporting and analysis
- Monitoring of driver behaviour
- Access from PC, Tablet or mobile phone
Another area where the Parksafe team have been able to make a real difference to the daily work of fleet operators throughout the country this year is with helping them to gain DVS status. We’ve sold 5000+ DVS kits and we’ve also worked alongside many organisations helping them make the transition from DVS to FORS, affording many with even greater value contracts, not to mention greater peace of mind for drivers and fleet managers too.
And we can’t wrap up the year without a mention of our PS±EV Eco Save Electric Vehicle Device which is helping forward thinking companies use less energy through eco-driving techniques and improving the driving range of modern electric vehicles. This is an area we expect to grow significantly next year as more organisations look for a product that’s better for the environment and the pocket and more crucially safer for drivers and other road users too.
Outside of the office and factory, the Parksafe sales team having exhibited at 4 trade shows this year – the ITT Hub in Farnborough, the Commercial vehicle show in Birmingham, Freight in the City at Alexandra Palace and the Tip-Ex & Tank-Ex show in Harrogate. After what felt like such a long time without face-to-face interaction because of lockdown, getting out has definitely been one of the highlights of the year. We welcomed so many visitors to our stands and the star of the show was definitely the demo van. It continues to delight people with the new and innovative kit we’ve packed inside it and is such a great way for our team to show Fleet Managers & Operations Managers the high-quality products we have available. Our team are already looking forward to more exhibiting next year, with the CV Show, ITT Hub, Fleet Summit and Road Transport Expo 2022 already booked and we hope to see you there.
Finally, we close the year with a brand-new catalogue in place and we’re delighted with the end result. A lot of thought has gone into the design of it to ensure it not only looks good but is also customer friendly. With us supplying 1000s of vehicle safety products, we know how important it is for customers to be able to find what they’re looking for easily.
Our new catalogue is available to download from the Parksafe Automotive site and is available to view both in full but also section by section taking our customers quickly to where they want to go to, all at the click of a button.
