Parksafe Group Passes Testing for DVS from Loughborough University!

Backed by 30 years of expertise in vehicle safety, Parksafe Group’s Ai-driven Progresive Safe System (PSS) meets all TfL’s specifications. As verified by The Association of Vehicle Installers AND the University of Loughborough!
Our PSS solution had been previously verified by the The Association of Vehicle Installers. However, with vehicle and passenger safety at the forefront of our mind, we wanted to take this EVEN further and test the accuracy and speed of our Ai technology. To do this we spoke to the University of Loughborough who independently tested our PSS kit to ensure it met the full criteria.
The testing was successful!
Parksafe Group can confirm that our PSS solution meets ALL the specifications, including Moving Off Information Systems (MOIS) & Blind Spot Information System (BSIS).
For the testing at Loughborough University we presented our own DAT LF 7.5T Truck, detection zones were mapped out around the vehicle, and vulnerable road user’s (VRU) were then asked to pass by the on the nearside of the vehicle at multiple speeds and specified distances away from the vehicle edge.
Compliance with the distance and speed were demonstrated using calibrated and traceable measuring equipment and via markings on the test area which were then evidenced in video documentation.
One of the key pass indicators in the test is that all the sensors should provide an alert when the VRU is in the coverage area. For instance, if any of the sensors fail to provide an alert, the system would not pass the required standard.

For Vehicles currently fitted with a DVS system that currently passes TFL’s approval standards, we offer an upgrade kit that adds the additional kit required to pass the new PSS requirements.

For vehicles that are pre fitted with GSR2 equipment, including MOIS & BSIS. This kit provides the additional equipment required to pass the new PSS requirements.
