Job Description

Parksafe Group are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to install, maintain, and support our range of vehicle safety and camera systems across commercial fleets. The role involves working on a variety of vehicles including vans, trucks, heavy plant, and specialist fleet vehicles, ensuring our products are installed to the highest technical and safety standards.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with vehicle electrics, automotive installation, and telematics experience, who enjoys working both independently and as part of a wider technical team.

Responsibilities and duties

Install vehicle safety equipment including Multi Channel CCTV systems, Dash Cameras, AI HFR Cameras, systems, and associated products.
Carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on installed systems.
Install equipment across a range of commercial vehicles including HGVs, vans, heavy plant machinery, and fleet vehicles.
Ensure all installations meet company standards and customer requirements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting on-site and remotely.
Complete installation reports and service documentation ensuring every job is closed in the correct manor.
Work closely with the operations, engineering, and technical teams to deliver projects, installs and service calls efficiently.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.
Follow all health and safety procedures while working on vehicles and customer sites.

Qualifications and skills

Experience with automotive electrics and vehicle installations.
Previous experience installing vehicle cameras, telematics, dashcams, or safety systems (desirable).
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Experience working on commercial vehicles and plant machinery.
Knowledge of CAN bus systems and vehicle electronics.
Experience with CCTV, telematics, and fleet safety technology.
Relevant automotive or electrical qualifications.
Full UK driving license.
